During the work of renovation of the church it was announced a competition for the realization of the portal.
To realize the sketch, Mauro Baldessari decides to live for a time in the neighborhood of the Church and to collect the atmospheres and the stories of one of the most populated areas of Bolzano, characterized by a varied geographical origin of the inhabitants
The project, deep-rooted in the history of the community, it is chosen by the Selection Committee.

The portal represents a disintegrated population that rediscovers in the church, in the sense of community of men, a new aggregation
The community grows in brotherhood around the Eucharist (lower part of the portal).
In the death and resurrection of Christ, the Christian community expressed the hope of its fulfillment (top right of the portal).
